Paddlefest offers a variety of recreational, environmental and community-based activities and events over the 4 day festival!

PADDLEFEST 2024 ACTIVITIES

  • "Recovery is Possible" Film Screening

    Thursday, May 16th at 6pm - A film screening at Drewhaven to showcase Matthew Dickson’s journey as the first person with schizophrenia to bike across Canada. His journey and story are inspiring to say the least and a testament to the healing and restorative power of activity and the environment.

  • 𝗠𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗞𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗸 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝘁 w/ Turtle Shore Adventures

    Friday, May 17 at 2pm - Join Genny Simard from Turtle Shores in a scavenger style paddle around Navy Island to discover a whole new way to see St. Andrews! This event is recommended for beginners to intermediate paddlers and will be in a group style paddle departing from the Princess Royal Boat Launch. Bring your own Boat as they are not provided.

  • Yoga w/ Trudy Fitzgerald

    Friday, May 17th at 3:30pm - Flow into the weekend with a lovely Hatha flow, guided by Saint Andrews own Trudy Fitzgerald at the Wesleyan United Church.

  • Paddle Across the Bay w/ Seascape Kayak Tours

    Saturday, May 18th at 8am - Celebrate Seascape Kayak Tours 30th anniversary with a glorious morning paddle across the Bay from Deer Island to St. Andrews! By registration only

  • Paddlefest Artist Market

    Saturday, May 18th at 10am - The annual Paddlefest Craft Market will be happening in market square and will feature local artisans and vendors selling hand-made goods such as artwork, soaps and cosmetic products, pottery, clothing, food and more

  • Yoga w/ Yoga Rythm

    Saturday, May 18th at 10am- Join instructor Luke Bailey of Yoga Rhythm for a 1-hour Sivananda yoga class in Centennial Park, that explores the rhythm of breath and movement

  • 𝗬𝗼𝗴𝗮 𝗥𝗵𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗺 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻

    Saturday, May 18th at 11am - Capture your favourite yoga poses with a beautiful scenic backdrop with instructor Luke Bailey of Yoga Rhythm. $50 per person

  • Wharfbound Trail Run

    Saturday, May 18th at 1pm - The Wharfbound Trail Run is a 19km run that begins at the St. Andrews Wharf with participants running on the beach and trails all the way to Minister's Island and back. It’s a self monitored fun run with staggered start times and post-event refreshments. It’s a hard trail and is recommended for experienced runners!

  • Huntsman Aquarium Opening Day

    Saturday, May 18th at 10:00am- The Fundy Discovery Aquarium’s opening for the day for the season! The Aquarium is open from 10am-5pm. There is a kids show at 11:15am w/ Mr Mark

  • Kid's Show w/ Mr Mark

    Saturday, May 18th at 11:15am - Join us at the Dunn Theatre at the Huntsman Marine Science Centre for a performance from children’s act Mr Mark. Whether you're singing the praises of Macaroni and Cheese or going on an adventure with the symphony orchestra you'll wind up wigglin' and gigglin' and wantin’ more w/ Mr. Mark! Kids Concert is By Donation

  • Women's SUP Demo w/ Sphere Adventures

    Saturday, May 18th at 1pm - Sphere Adventure Programs are hosting a Women's Stand Up Paddleboarding clinic where you can learn the basics, and get some tips and tricks from certified instructors. Equipment provided. $39.99

  • Navy Island Paddle w/ Seascape Kayak Tours

    Saturday, May 18th at 1:30pm - Celebrate Seascape Kayak Tours 30th anniversary with a glorious afternoon paddle Around Navy Island $80.00

  • Wellness Hike w/ Nature Trust of NB

    Sunday, May 19th at 10am - Enjoy one of the area’s finest trails with The Nature Trust of NB as they lead a wellness hike around the Caughey-Taylor Nature Preserve / Sam Orr’s pond and out to Berry Point for some beautiful views of the escarpment. This hike is an estimated 2.5 - 3h and 5.5 km on variable terrain.

  • Paddlefest Beach Clean Up

    Sunday, May 19th at 10am - SJDA high school volunteers and other community members will be hosoin a beach cleanup to do our part in keeping our environment and oceans cleaner!

  • Kid's Skateboard Demo w/ Sphere Adventure

    Sunday, May 19th at 11am - Sphere Adventure Programs are hosting a skateboarding clinic for youth ages 8-12 at the St. Andrew Youth Centre. Some safety equipment provided but participants are encouraged to bring their own gear. $20.00

  • Dragonboating w/ St. Andrews Paddling Club

    Sunday, May 19th at 2pm - Hosted by the Saint Andrews Paddling Club. The start of the summer is a perfect time to fall in love with a new sport. Join in for this crash course in Dragon Boating.

  • Charlotte County Environmental Fair

    Sunday, May 19th at 2pm - Paddlefest is hosting local organizations in town square to showcase the environmental science happening in our own backyard. Come learn all about it!
