Paddlefest Music and Nature Festival offers a variety of recreational, environmental, and community-focused activities and events over the four days of the festival. From paddling events to a beach cleanup, nature walks to an artist market, there’s plenty to keep you busy all weekend!

THURSDAY MAY 14

  • Breathwork and Art Workshop w/ Kristine Wickner

    5pm - Join Kristine Wickner at Drewhaven for a guided breathwork session focused on release, reflection, and visioning what comes next.

FRIDAY MAY 15

  • Gentle Hatha Flow Yoga w/ Trudy Fitzgerald

    Gentle Hatha Flow Yoga w/ Trudy Fitzgerald

    4pm - Join Trudy Fitzgerald for an afternoon session of gentle Hatha flow yoga at the Wesley United Church.

SATURDAY MAY 16

  • Paddle for Peace w/ Seascape Kayak Tours

    9:30am - Join Paddlefest founder Bruce Smith for his Paddle for Peace in support of conservation efforts for the Bay of Fundy. A 3 hour trip launching from the St. Andrews Wharf and circling Navy Island and around the Bay. $65.00 pp with boat rental /$35 pp with your own gear.

  • Paddlefest Artist Market

    10am - 2pm - The Artist Market happens in market square, and features local artisans and vendors selling hand-made goods such as artwork, soaps and cosmetic products, pottery, clothing, food and more!

  • Sound & Ground Yoga w/ Irene and Fractal Code

    10am - Irene Graham will guide you through a yang/yin style practice, while Fractal Code uses sound and rhythm to fully engage your senses. Music and yoga combine in this playful practice that leave you feeling grounded, connected, and blissed out.

  • Fundy Discovery Aquarium Opening Day

    9am- The Fundy Discovery Aquarium’s opening for the day for the season! The Aquarium is open from 9am-5pm.

  • Kid's Show w/ Molly Whuppie

    11:30am - Join us at the Dunn Theatre at the Huntsman Marine Science Centre for a performance from award-winning children’s act Molly Whuppie

  • Paddle A Big Canoe w/ Canoe Kayak NB

    11am - 5pm - Come for a group paddle in Canoe Kayak New Brunswick’s big canoes! Each session begins with an introduction to big canoe safety, basic paddling skills, and canoeing heritage. This is followed by a group paddle led by a Paddle Canada-certified Big Canoe leader. Trips are family-friendly and offer fun, hands-on learning experiences. Life jackets and paddles provided. Sessions are one hour in length, register for your spot today!

  • Paddlefest Beach Cleanup

    3pm - Join The Fundy Baykeeper, The Conservation Council of NB, and the St. Andrews Cubs & Scouts for a family friendly beach clean up of Minister’s Island. Minister’s Island is graciously offering an entry pass for cleanup participants. Meet at the Bar Road, no registration required. Bags and gloves graciously provided by the Huntsman Marine Science Centre.

  • Wharfbound Trail Run

    4pm - The Wharfbound Trail Run is a trail run that begins at the St. Andrews Wharf with participants running on the beach and trails all the way to Minister's Island and back. It’s a self monitored fun run with staggered start times and post-event refreshments. It’s a hard trail and is recommended for experienced runners.

SUNDAY MAY 17

  • Sivananda Flow Yoga w/ Yogi Riddim

    9am - Greet the day with yogi Luke Bailey as he combines elements of Sivananda yoga, sound therapy qigong and capoiera. This yoga sessions will be in Centennial Park, weather permitting.

  • Guided Hike w/ The Nature Trust of NB

    10am - Join the Nature Trust staff at The Caughey-Taylor Nature Preserve for a guided wellness hike amid the stunning landscape of this beautiful preserve, in partnership with Paddlefest. This hike is an estimated 2.5-3 hours and 5.5 kilometres on variable terrain and is not recommended for those with mobility issues.

  • "Pedalfest" Rolling Bike Rave

    10am - Grab your bike, skateboard or rollerblades, get active and join the fun! Wheel your way down Water Street and down the Van Horne Trail with some live mixed funky tunes by Owen Jones guiding the way!

  • Paddlefest Drag Show

    Paddlefest Drag Show

    11am - The second annual Paddlefest Drag Brunch, featuring Freedah Whales and Hinky Dinky! The show will start off with some queer music trivia and finale with performances by our amazing queens! The queens will be taking to the stage at Sunbury Shores with a cash bar with fun cocktails and mocktails to wet your whistle by Sidney and the delicious Luis’ Tacos for brunch! There will be a limited pre-sale of tickets and a select amount of tickets available at the door.

  • Dragon Boat Workshop w/ St. Andrews Paddling Club

    Dragon Boat Workshop w/ St. Andrews Paddling Club

    1 - 3pm - Join the St. Andrews Paddling Club for a crash course in Dragon Boating! They will be holding one hour long workshops at Katy’s Cove, a perfect spot for an introduction to a fun sport that’ll keep active, on the water, and meeting great folks all summer long! Register for a session today!

  • History of The Bay w/ Peskotomuhkati Recognition Group

    Time and Location TBD - Join members of the Peskotomuhkati Nation and staff of PRGI for a fun and informative walk detailing the history of the land the Peskotomuhkati called home for thousands of years.

  • NGO & Environmental Fair

    2pm - 4pm - Paddlefest is thrilled to be hosting our seventh annual NGO & Environmental Fair! Join us along with a fantastic host of local NGO’s and environmental organizations that want to chat with you about the ways you can support our earth this summer. The Conservation Council of NB will be hosting a children’s book reading at 3pm followed by trivia by The Nature Trust of NB at 3:30pm.
